Steven J. Stein, Ph.D.
Steve has over thirty years of experience as a business executive, consultant and counseling psychologist. Early in his career he served as director of psychological services for Hay Career Consultants in New York City. He later worked for a variety of public and private companies in the senior human resources (HR) role. For many years he was VP/HR for a large public media and electronic information business based in San Jose, CA. Most recently Steve served for seven years as the top HR executive for a private $2 billion family owned global consumer goods business.
Steve has mentored and coached a wide variety of clients. He has assisted many individuals launch or re-launch their careers. Through counseling, coaching and consulting with hundreds of executives and managers at all levels and in all functions of the business world, Steve has developed a wide breadth of experience and knowledge.
Steve is a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) and the American Psychological Association (APA). He received his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Florida and is a licensed psychologist in California (lic#26264), New York and New Jersey. He has served on industry and non-profit boards. He and his wife reside in Monte Sereno, California.
